Here’s a little (& unimportant) update from yours truly, Adriana:
It’s been quite a while since I write something here. Well, something happened and it took me 4 months to be okay again, but it is safe to say that I’ve accepted the test given and I’ve picked myself up from where I left. I still go through some rough nights, crying myself to sleep, wishing everything went according to how I planned it to be, and I still have no clue what the future holds. As of now, everything is a blur. I couldn’t see the bigger picture yet, but that’s okay. For Allah is the best of planners and I believe in Him.
Some of you might be wondering why am I still in Malaysia. Am I not supposed to be in the UK by now? Exploring the cities, posting nice pictures wearing fab 2 – 3 layers of outfits. Oh, you have no idea how much I want to do all of that. I’ve been waiting for that since two years ago, when I received my scholarship. Continue reading “Blur”
If you read my last post then you should know that I went to see a specialist because I have lumps on my right underarm and above my right breast. Alhamdulillah the result of the ultrasound showed the lump on my right breast had shrunk. However, the doctor said I still have to go for a surgery to remove the lump on my underarm because it might multiply or get bigger. The surgery was supposed to be today but…

I have written a post about KYUEM, explaining what and where it is. Now let me tell you about my experience there (It’s not like it’s important but I’m just gonna tell you anyway)
I entered KY in August 2015. I was from a daily school, SM All Saints, so it was my first time being away from home and staying in a residential school.
The first week I was in KY, I felt like I was living in hell. After the registration, we got to rest for a bit and then the Muslims were required to solat Maghrib together at the Musolla. Right after we finished our solat, I suddenly heard shouts from the great hall, telling us to be fast and to run. Continue reading “2 years in KYUEM”

I’ve noticed that my traffics for my Kyuem post has been pretty high lately. I guess some of you have just received an offer to study here, congratulations! And to my lovely friends who are still struggling with A Levels, don’t give up guys! We only have a few papers left, do your very best! *Yang dah balik tu duk diam diam kat rumah ye, jumpa nanti masa graduation* Continue reading “Starting a new life in a new place”
I’m 20, so like many other young adults out there, I still get the same typical questions from my friends/uncles/aunts/previous teachers/ or just some strangers who just met me. One of the questions that I get a lot is, “Where are you studying” (Somewhere along the line). It’s an easy question… IF you’re studying in a popular institution like UiTM, UM, UKM, Taylor’s, Sunway College and etc. You just have to say the name of your uni/college and that’s it. Unfortunately, that is not always the case for me. Usually, the conversation would go like this… Continue reading “KYUEM”
I just got back from KK on the 31st of January from a week of CNY break but exactly one week after that I had another long weekend (4 days of break). Initially I wanted to go back to KK .. again.. (if you reacted like this —-> “What? Again? You were just in KK a week ago!”, you’re not the only one) but the price of the flight tickets told me nahh, it’s not worth it. There’s so much more I can do
or buy with that money, and so I did. I used the money to go to Penang instead. I’ve never been there yet and I heard Penang is one of Malaysia’s food heaven, so why not? Continue reading “Penang”
